The intervention will be carried out under following components/ activities:
LHWs, CMWs and CHWs will be trained in CMAM & IYCF creating enabling environment for increasing the proportion of antenatal care (ANC) (i.e. more than 04 visits) from 41% to 60% and postnatal care (PNC) from 79% to 86% (within 48 Hours) by the end of 2021. Likewise the target of increasing exclusive breast feeding 0-6 months from 29% to 45% by 2021. The nature of CMAM involves direct beneficiaries in the screening and treatment of malnutrition, which further empowers communities to detect and seek treatment for malnutrition at early.
Ensuring adequate supply/ proGoal of essential drugs including Parental Iron prior to shifting to Iron Foliate to maintain haemoglobin level with Multi-micronutrients at facility level for reducing the percentage of women of reproductive age who are anaemic from current 62% to <40% by the end of 2020 and Children from 73% to <45%;
Use of Chlorhexidine to prevent new-born from umbilical Sepsis in particular among the premature and underweight;
Universal screening of children under 05 years, Adolescent girls and PLW be conducted for determining severity at district level
Screening be done through MUAC, weight, bi-lateral pitting Odema, measurement of height through height for age and for women also apply BMI (Body Mass Index)
Based on the severity program intervention be determined like proGoal of Food (RUTF) Micro–nutrient powder (MNP) Zinc and IFA besides Vitamins including health care services for complicated cases.
Competency Building training HCP at facility and LHWs, CMWs & CNWs at community level will be trained in managing Integrated Early Learning & Stimulation, Quality Improvement Patient Safety& Kangaroo Mother Care for managing stunted, underweight and premature births respectively.
Incentivizing and Deploying 4,837 CMWs for proGoal skilled birth attendance with 4 plus ANC services at community level;
ProGoal of Safe Delivery Kits for Community based skilled attendants and LHWs to share pregnant ladies in facilitating in process of Home Delivery to manage maternal and neonatal.
