Execution of Accelerated Action Plan (AAP) Health Component

• AAP will be operated from Health Secretariat under direct control of Secretary Health.
• Additional Director (Dev.) be the focal person from Department of Health under super vision of Additional Secretary Dev. Health for Accelerated Action Plan for reduction of Stunting & Malnutrition.
• Program Coordinator has been engaged to coordinate implementation and monitoring activities and prepare yearly implementation plan along with NSP and MNCH Program.
• In addition to 09 Districts of NSP, AAP will replicate NSP activities in other uncovered districts (initiated from Sukkur & Mirpur Khas during CFY 2017-18) and will also cover up all the gaps identified in PC-1 of Nutrition Support Program.
• These activities including of European Union will be complemented with support MNCH interventions for improving ANC, PNC and Pay for performance appropriately and comprehensively covering first 1000 days in a child’s life, a crucial “window of opportunity” for addressing the Stunting and its implications on human development.
• Activities of Nutrition Program Districts and MNCH Program will be merged in AAP after completion PC-1 initiatives.
